We supply and install home EV Chargers throughout Erskine, including smart tethered and untethered chargers from Ohme, Hypervolt, Zappi, Zaptec, Tesla, SyncEV, Andersen and Project EV. Most electric cars can use the same Type 2 home charging standard, so there is normally a choice of suitable charger models. We can help compare them based on your vehicle, how your driveway is laid out, whether you want a permanently attached cable and which smart charging functions matter to you.
Available features include mobile app control, overnight charging schedules, compatibility with suitable off-peak tariffs, load management and integration with solar panels. We assess the consumer unit, incoming supply, parking position and cable route before installation. Where an Erskine driveway or landscaped area separates the house from the ideal charger position, we can consider longer or concealed cable routes and other mounting options rather than simply positioning the charger where it is easiest to install.

Erskine has many detached homes, semi-detached houses, bungalows, townhouses and family properties within established residential estates. These homes are often well suited to EV charger installation, especially where there is a driveway or garage, but the charger position and cable run still need to be chosen carefully for everyday use.

We carried out an EV charger installation on Torran Drive in Erskine for a customer who wanted a charger at the front of the property, opposite where they usually parked their OMODA. The consumer unit and main supply were around the side of the house, with a total cable run of around 18 metres. Because of the way the front door and porch were constructed, along with other existing installations around the property, running the cable visibly around the house was not the best option. Instead, we routed the cable beneath the lockblock driveway, allowing it to appear exactly where the charger was required. The cable then supplied a Project EV 7.4kW charger at full single-phase output, giving the customer a clean finish, a practical charger position and the ability to charge their OMODA overnight at home.
Erskine has public charging at Erskine Swimming Pool and further options towards Bishopton, Renfrew and Clydebank. These can be useful for occasional top-ups, but for regular journeys to Glasgow, Paisley or the airport, a home EV charger gives a more convenient and generally cheaper way to keep the car charged.
We come across a variety of different situations - but rest assured, we've seen them all, and can decipher from the initial survey what's required, what can be done, and how we can do it.

Erskine homes usually have private driveways, garage parking, off-street spaces or side access, making many properties suitable for home EV charging. We focus on placing the charger where it will be convenient for daily use without making the installation look awkward.
Erskine homeowners often choose a charger based on how predictable their weekly driving is. If the car is used daily for commuting, a smart tethered charger with simple scheduling may be the most convenient option, while occasional drivers may prefer a simpler or more discreet unit. We explain the differences clearly, including app features, tariff compatibility and whether the charger suits the property’s parking layout.
